Shoreside Art Trail - Seaham

Shoreside Art Trail Seaham, a discovery trail of Seaham’s unique art installations.

Following Creativepop’s first ever Shoreside Art Market back in 2019, Creativepop began looking at a way to showcase more of what Seaham was about through the artwork it proudly displays.

The Shoreside Art Trail was created!

Take a trip along the coastline and discover the wonderful and thought provoking pieces artists have created for Seaham. Use the QR codes to jump straight into artists’ talks or read below for more information on the art you can find.

“Seaham is a beautiful and unique place due to it heritage,

What’s on the trail?

We are celebrating the abundance of artwork and artists we have in Seaham. Take a look at some of the long standing and new permanent work in situ along the coast and get an insight into the work from the artist themselves.

Just find a piece of artwork along the trail and scan the QR code on the map to be taken to the artists talk. Or find the talk on the links below.

Free exhibitions, on a range of subjects agreed by edan members, and utilising their varied skills, are held there throughout the year. Entrance is free and the gallery is normally open to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, from 11.00 – 3.00 weekdays and 10.00 – 4.00 Saturdays. Visitors are advised to check the Facebook Page east-durham-artists'-network for latest opening times and exhibition information.

The Art Block is also used for groups, workshops and other art-related activities.

Members can book the Art Block for their own exhibitions.
